Port of Saint-Petersburg (currenly registered as OJSC "Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg") is located within Saint-Petersburg city which is on the shore of the Gulf of Finland, by the Baltic Sea.

The water area of the Port freezes from the end of December till the middle of April (depending on the atmospheric temperature). Strictly ice-class vessels and icebreakers are allowed for loading in the Port during this period of time. The Port remains ice-free during the rest months of a year.

The Port has 1 berth of 220 m in length as a facility for handling of coal and it is adapted for loading of handysize vessels having deadweight within the limits of 30 000 mt. The permitted draft at such berth is 10.0 m on the zero water level. Moreover, the Port is equipped for cleaning of coal from metal admixtures.
