Khabarovsk Krai

This region is in the far-east part of the Russian Federation.

OJSC "SUEK" operates only one enterprise (one mine and one open-pit mine) there - Urgalugol, producing about 2 mio mt of brown and steam coal per year. So far, very limited tonnage of Urgalugol’s coal is exportable. But innearest few years a new washing plant will be installed for washing the Ugralugol's coal. Consequently, after this the volume of coal for export is expected to be 2 mio mt per year in addition to the coal mined for domestic consumption.
